Hypnosis Works NYC
Reiki Healing for Mind, Body and Spirit
The aim of Reiki is to completely open up and experience whatever feeling and sensation you are receiving. My aim as a Reiki practitioner is to ensure that you are safe, protected, and experiences the entirety of where your energy guides you to. As a Reiki practitioner I’m not a “healer, instead I serve as a channel for source energy that enables the universe to provide the support you need. Clients have reported experiencing increased sensitivity, increased vibrations, a feeling of warmth and comfort, or being in deep meditation during sessions. Some reported seeing colors. These colors represent the blocked or weak chakras that or being cleared. The aim here is to promote self-healing since the energy clearing process starts here. This process releases toxins from the body and clients often feel the urge to drink plenty of water in the following days as they often experience dehydration, and immediately after, they also adopt a healthier diet with fruits and vegetables.
Similar to other detoxification programs, it is normal to experience fatigue, headaches and body aches as the clearing process starts. This is normal as the body is cleaning itself and allowing higher vibrational energy to enter. These symptoms are completely normal so don’t panic because they will not last. It will pass, so be gentle with yourself and be open to receive more clarity than you have ever had.
What happens during a Reiki session?
First, a Reiki therapist will conduct a full body scan by floating his or her hands from your crown to your feet to identify the areas that need more attention and care. The Reiki therapist will proceed to lightly touch areas of your body from your crown to your feet for a moment (of course with permission prior to beginning). Some of these moments will be longer than others. During the session, the client lies on a massive table completely clothed, then covered in a blanket if so preferred with his or her shoes off. During the process, the therapist utilizes symbols by visualizing them or by drawing them over your body. Some of these symbols are for aligning, protecting, and balancing (Cho Ku Rei) and others are for mental and emotional clearing (Sei Hei Ki). In certain cases, the therapist may call upon spirit guides (Dai Ko Myo) who are willing to connect or try to heal past trauma through the symbol Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. These symbols mean that time and space are non-existent and that only the here and now are important. This method can also be used to heal anxiety about one’s future or to heal clients who cannot be physically present for a session.
After a session, a Reiki therapist often sits with a client to process what the client felt. The client can open up about what he felt and the therapist may explain which chakras were being unblocked. It is always interesting to observe what arises, and more so, what goal areas can be targeted for upcoming sessions.
Just like any healing method, I recommend at least four healing sessions to be able to know if Reiki healing is best for you. Trying Reiki healing over an extended period of time will surely affect your decision making, you will feel more clear-headed and focused, completely ready to step into your purpose and reclaim your positive energy.
Hope this brief insight into the light touch Japanese energy based journey will allow you to consider the beautiful healing benefits of this modality. For anyone considering Reiki, it is a true experience into a realm of inner work, targeting the root cause of many issues, from physical health and processes into spiritual insight and mental clarity.
